The hydrophobic nature of the polyester fiber makes it easy to carry static electricity and therefore it is prone to sticking with dirt and dust, which may cause discomfort when worn. Therefore, hydrophilic auxiliaries are often added to the processing of polyester fabrics. In this study, a polyester knitted fabric was used for dyeing in the high-temperature dyeing stage and the dye reduction washing stage, respectively, and added in five different concentrations1%’,2%,3%,4% and 5%. After the addition of the hydrophilic aid, water absorbency, drying time test, and wicking test were performed to determine the effect after the addition of the hydrophilic aid.
From the experimental results, it was observed that when the amount of the moisture-absorbing perspiration agent added to the sample is 2% to 4%, the effect of water absorbency and drying time is better. When the concentration exceeds 4% the effect will decreased, and the effect of water absorbency and drying time is reduced. There is not much difference between the two
