    Abstract: 本論文主要是研究《大唐西域記》的傳說與故事,以此探討西域民間故事對中國文學的影響。《大唐西域記》為唐代高僧玄奘法師所作,除了敘述有關佛教遺跡紀錄外,舉凡地理、風俗、語言、傳說、產業、政治等,也都有詳細之記載,是一部綜合宗教、地理、歷史之巨作。裡面記載的傳說與故事,保存了西元七世紀前西域地區的生活樣貌,當中特殊的故事亦隨著書本流入中國,進而被改寫成為中國風貌的新故事。
    本文共分六章:
    第一章提出筆者的研究動機與目的,再列舉前人的文獻資料,最後說明本文的研究範圍與方法。第二章對《大唐西域記》的背景做個交代,先介紹作者玄奘大師的生平,再敘述《大唐西域記》的成書原由。第三章界定傳說的意義,並將傳說的情節歸納分析。第四章討論書中的民間故事並分析情節以及當中的類型故事,然後與其他有相關類型故事作比對分析。第五章討論傳說與故事中的風俗,對其風俗與故事的關聯,並藉由探討當中風俗的背景更加了解及還原故事內容。第六章依故事內容、書籍的貢獻、對中國文學影響三方面,對本文做個總結。
    This study of Folktales Related to “Buddhist Records of the Western World” (TA-TANG-SI-YU-KI) which is narrated by Master Xuanzang. In order to explore the impact of Western folktales on Chinese literature Records discuss apart from narrating records of Buddhist monuments, and it shed light on a various aspects such as geography, culture, language, myth, industry and politics. Therefore, this book is a master piece of religion, geogrphy, and history. This book included the The legends and stories recorded therein preserved the appearance of life in the Western Regions before the seventh century AD. Some of the special stories also flowed into China with books, which were then rewritten into new stories of Chinese style.
    This paper is dived into six chapters. The first chapter encompasses the motivation of this research, literature review, the area of research, and research method. The second chapter illustrates the background of “Buddhist Records of the Western World”. It describes the life of Xuanzang Master, the generation of this book, the content of the book, and the structure of this narrative. The third chapter defines the meaning of significance of the legend, and the legendary plot of induction. The fourth chapter discuss folktales in the book and analyze the episodes and genre stories in them, then compare them with other related genres.The fifth chapter discuss the customs of legends and stories, relate their customs and stories, and understand and restore the contents of the story by exploring the background of the customs. The sixth chapter is according to the content of the story, the contribution of books, the impact on Chinese literature in three aspects, this article is a summary.
