The article aims to investigate the possible influence and intertextual connections (on different levels: images, motives and elements of the plot) between Russian Symbolist novels (D. Merezhkovsky's «Resurrected Gods. Leonardo da Vinci», F. Sologub's « The Created Legend») and the films by the Russian visionary director A. Tarkovsky. The variants of possible citation reveal the different principles of intertextuality.
