    Abstract: 澎湖群島的漁民，傳統上都主祀媽祖，祇有鳥嶼返島的漁民主祀岳飛，並且有廟中岳飛神像是從海上飄來的傳說，還說那是岳飛神靈的選擇。本文就廟宇建成的年代，推測岳飛神像的來歷及其信仰之政治意涵。
    Traditionally, the inhabitants on the Penghu Islands worship Goddess of Mercy Mazu except those living on the Bird Island. They worship Yue Fei, a Chinese military general in the Song dynasty. This paper tries to explore the possible reasons leading to this worship.
