The main purpose of this study was to understand the delaying urination behavior of female college students and to analyze the factors that affecting such behavior. A questionnaire survey was conducted to female college students at two universities. Through purposive sampling, 286 valid samples were collected. Data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffé test. Among all respondents, 94.4% of them had experienced delaying urination. The major environmental factors affecting such behavior were "too many people and need to line up for the toilet", "insufficient toilet flushing device" , "toilet device is too dirty", "bad smell" . On the other hand, the individual factors included "forget to bring tissue paper", "rush for catching up class", "still can tolerate", and "troublesome". Although the influence of both kinds of factors to delaying urination behavior was relatively small, the influence of environmental factors was significantly higher than that of the individual factors. Since over 90% of female students had experienced delaying urination behavior, to solve this problem effectively, the following suggestions were provided, including: increasing the number of female toilets, maintaining cleanness of toilet facilities and environment, and providing toilet paper or vending machines. Health units could strengthen advocacy education knowledge so that students know the impact of delaying urination.
