    Title: 應用色彩地標資訊改善虛擬環境中空間方位判別之研究

    Abstract: 虛擬實境技術之應用相當廣泛,帶領人類進入感知的仿真世界。空間認知分析可提供研究者了解人類的對空間資訊處裡行為能力。多數人在虛擬空間中進行瀏覽時常會產生困難,特別是當身處陌生環境時,更容易迷失的問題。有關虛擬環境介面設計如何能協助使用者進行導覽,一直都是個複雜且困難的議題,其中環境設計如何協助使用者進行導覽的議題更是這塊領域的研究重心。本篇文章將探討在虛擬實境中加入地標輔助,也就是在虛擬環境中置入不同種類的「地標」以及「色彩訊息」,在實驗中受試者被要求學習兩個地點之間的複雜路徑,在此混亂的虛擬環境中利用地標資訊提升空間認知的能力,並探討使用者在虛擬環境中之學習績效。本研究發現在「尋路時間」上,「彩色地標組」受測時間平均比「無色地標組」還要少。而「行走距離」上也是「彩色地標組」受測距離較短,觀察受試者之行走路徑紀錄發現繞路及重複瀏覽的區域均有大幅減少。但在獨立樣本T檢定中,「彩色地標組」與「無色地標組」兩者尚未達到顯著的差異。由於數據上的分析尚未達到一個顯著的差異,因此我們將受試者所行走的路徑紀錄做一個比較與分析,藉由受試者的路徑紀錄比較證實了在地標柱上面上顏色是有幫助的,色彩資訊確實增加了受試者記憶以及判斷的能力。
    Virtual reality technology has been widely used in many applications. It not only plays an important role in today´s technology but also has great impact on tomorrow´s technology. It allows us to enter the virtual world. The study of spatial cognition provides the understanding of human spatial capability.Most people encounter difficulties when browsing in the virtual world, especially when they are placed in a strange environment. It has always been a complex subject when dealing with designing of a virtual environment. The main focus of this study is to improve the issue of spatial disorientation by designing a better environment.In the experiment, participants were asked to learn a path between two locations in a cluttered virtual environment that featured different color landmark information. From this experiment we explore user's learning performance in virtual environments.
