This study aims at analyzing the characteristics of the audience of Taiwan's political TV call-in programs. A discriminant analysis found that those who attended to political TV call-in programs in election seasons tended to be better educated with higher levels of political knowledge and political interest. In addition, compared to the non-viewers of political TV call-in programs, the viewers of the programs spent more time to acquire electoral information from newspapers, television news, magazines, radio, and internet web sites. This finding indicated that watching political TV call-in programs could be an important indicator of political participation in election seasons.
