    摘要: 在此論文中,筆者將探討處於19世紀末至20世紀初「新藝術」(Art Nouveau)時期的社會環境氛圍,以及探究促使「新藝術」短短地在30年的時間影響了歐洲、美洲甚至遠達日本的成功因素。「新藝術」裡的藝術家們除了排斥傳統的畫風之外,更主張一種創新的藝術形態。而「新藝術」涵蓋的範圍不僅僅是繪畫領域,它還涉獵了廣大的範圍,例如:音樂、舞蹈和建築等都深受其影響。筆者在此將以繪畫作為研究主軸,來探討受此時空背景所影響的藝術家們,並以裝飾大師古斯塔夫.克林姆(Gustav Klimt,1862-1918)以及譽有「新藝術」風格大師的阿豐斯.慕夏(Alphonse Mucha,1860-1939)兩位藝術家為例子作一仔細地鑽研。毫無疑問地,在同一環境下所造就的藝術家們,其作品必有相同之處,雖然「新藝術」時期的藝術家們大都以女性作為畫面的承載體,但是在不同的創作環境氛圍影響下,所繪製的作品也因作者本身的感受而大不相同,因此,筆者特以上述兩位藝術家做逐一的比較與分析,其中包含了藝術家的生長背景、創作歷程以及畫風的研究,並以研究心得作為筆者自我創作的靈感發想依據;此外,更汲取其中的精華,創作出富有筆者自我風格的系列作品。全文共計六個章節,其章節簡述如下:
    一、基本論述
    第一章「緒論」:闡述筆者的研究動機,以及研究內容,並在此章節介紹了筆者所使用的研究方式,包含:資料搜集法、圖像蒐集法、文獻研究法及自我實踐法。
    二、研究內容
    第二章「新藝術的繪畫創作氛圍」:在此探討了「新藝術」之崛起的成因,藝術雜誌的發行以及博覽會的舉行是其拓展的重要成因。緊接著研究新藝術與慕夏之間的關聯性,筆者將以兩人的「新藝術」繪畫作品做一分析和比較。
    第三章「新藝術的繪畫性符號詮釋」:分別研究克林姆及慕夏作品中的繪畫性符號所代表的象徵涵義。
    第四章「慕夏的創作思維及畫作剖析」:首先深度地瞭解慕夏的成長背景,進而分析慕夏畫中不同的女性形象,最後研究其作品中的女性體態之形塑及其線性特色的運用。
    三、研究成果
    第五章「自我繪畫創作剖析」:將研究成果,作為自我繪畫創作的參考依據,即是以女性及植物作為創作主題,發展出繪畫形式,同時在此章節中,更簡述了自我創作所使用的媒材,並進行作品的賞析。
    第六章「結論」:貫通研究成果,並以此作為論文的最後結論。

    In this thesis, the author will discuss the social environment atmosphere from the late 19th century to early 20th century during the period of “Art Nouveau”. As well as to explore the successful factors which promoted “Art Nouveau” influence the Europe, the America and even far to Japan in only 30 years. In addition to exclude the traditional style of painting, the artists in the “Art Nouveau” period are more likely to advocate an innovative form in art. The “Art Nouveau” covers not only the field of painting, it also dabbles in the wide range, such as: music, dance and architecture, all of them are affected by it deeply. In this paper, the author will take painting as the center, to explore the artists who had been influenced at the background of this time and space, and taking decorative master Gustav Klimt(1862-1918)and the other master who have the style of “Art Nouveau”, named Alphonse Mucha(1860-1939)as example to look into it carefully. There is no doubt that the artists who are lived in the same environment would have similarities in their works. Although most of the artists in “Art Nouveau” like to take female as the carrier in paintings, under the influence of different creating atmosphere, their paintings are very different because of their distinctive feelings. Therefore, the author especially makes comparisons and analysis one by one between the two artists that we referred just now, including the researches on their growth background, creative process and painting style, and then taking the research experience as author's inspiration for the his creation; except that, he also absorbs the essence to create a series of works with the author's own style. This thesis is divided into 6 chapters and the outlines are as follow:
    I Basic Manuscripts
    Chapter 1 (introduction) : illustrating researching motivation and contents of the author, and introducing the researching methods which are used by the author, including: image collection, documentary research and self-practice.
    II Researching Contents
    Chapter 2 (the atmosphere of painting and creation in “Art Nouveau”) : in this part, it discusses the causes of the rise of new art, the issue of art magazines and the held of exposition, all of them are important factors of its development. Then it looks into the relationship between Alphonse Mucha and Art Nouveau, the author will compare and analyze their paintings in “Art Nouveau”.
    Chapter 3 (illustrations of drawing symbols in “Art Nouveau”): researching the symbolic meaning of drawing symbols in works of Gustav Klimt and Alphonse Mucha respectively.
    Chapter 4 (creative thinking and painting analysis of Alphonse Mucha) : firstly, understanding of the background of Alphonse Mucha’s growth deeply so as to analyze the different female images in his paintings, finally, studying the body shapes of women and the application of linear features in his works.
    III Researching Results
    Chapter 5 (analysis of self painting creation) : taking the findings of study as reference for self painting, that is let women and plants to be the creating theme and then developing into the painting form. At the same time, this chapter also illustrates the media used in the self creation, and gives appreciation of the works.
    Chapter 6 (conclusion) : summarizing the results of research and taking them as the final conclusion of this thesis.
