本研究主要根據客觀的次級資料與各種可量化的實證性指標，以探討臺灣紡織產業國際競爭力之發展過程，並實證分析相關因素對該產業國際競爭力發展的影響。 經由實證發現，在產業國際競爭力發展方面，臺灣紡織產業國際競爭力之發展有其順序性，該產業與主要貿易國與各區域之間維持著密不可分的互補分工之連動型態，也驗證了雁行發展之相關理論；就產業國際競爭力之決定因素方面，本研究所建構的各項衡量指標，皆具有相當高的解釋力與適當性。歸納本文研究結果，可對臺灣紡織產業國際競爭力的發展提出具體且客觀的建議，以供政府與業界在制訂產業政策與相關配套措施之參考。
The purpose of this research empirically analyzes on the development of international competitiveness in Taiwan's textile industry and its affecting factors by secondary data and indicators measurement. In the development of international competitiveness of industry, the results show that there exists a certain sequence of development for Taiwan's textile industry. Furthermore, the development of competitiveness for related main trade countries and different region are highly inter-linked with complementary and collaboration. The following of flying-geese pattern in region illustrates this phenomenon. With regard to the factors affecting international competitiveness of Taiwan's textile industry, the study of indicators construction demonstrated that they could provide better explanations and appropriateness. According to our results, the research hypotheses are verified. Meanwhile, these empirical results confirm to the related literatures. Derived from our findings, we also provide some policy suggestions on the development of international competitiveness of textile industry in Taiwan.
