This thesis was to study the tensile properties of slub yarn sproduced in a hollow spindle-ring spindle two steps spinning system. From the experiments, there were some results as follow: the slub yarns would have the better physical properties, while the core yarn was passed through the core yarn roller, and then the front rollerin spinning. The strength and elongation of the slub yarns would have the best effect, while the ratio of the front roller speed/the delivery roller linearspeed was 1.20 and the pitch between the slubs was 5.5cm. The effect of the yarn twist on its strength was not significant. But, the elongation would decrease with the increase of the yarn twist.
