在台灣這個山高地窄的海島型國家，河流通常直接流向大海，每年砂石從山上沖刷而下，而沒有做好預防措施導致土石流的發生。造成生命及財產上無法估計的損失，其中一種預防措施為地工織物的置放。地工織物最常使用的材料以聚酯纖維為主，而這次研究中使用回收高強力聚酯纖維(PET)廢布邊搭配聚丙烯纖維(PP)，進行開棉、混棉、梳棉、疊棉、針軋固結製成回收高強力聚酯纖維/聚丙烯地工不織布，再經過熱壓機熱壓，完成拉伸、撕裂、頂破、穿刺、滲透係數測試。測試結果顯示當回收高強力聚酯纖維含量60 %時為最佳混棉比例，此不織布可應用在穩定軟弱地盤、易鬆動之山坡地、需排水之地段。

Completion of Tensile Strength, Tearing Strength, burst Strength, Puncture Strength and Water Permeability. Test results show that when the recovery of high-tenacity polyester fiber content of 60 % is the best blending proportion. This nonwoven fabric can be used in a stable weak sites、hillside and the drainage area.
