In this experiment, as soilless culture medium of the substrate having a main structural skeleton of the high porosity 3D loofah natural fibers, and the use of aqueous sodium hydroxide to the alkali treatment is modified in order to increase hydrophilicity. Of different concentrations of sodium alginate (3%, 5%, 7%) treated with calcium chloride crosslinking loofah soilless culture medium moisture and pH of the cultivation medium pH meter and EC meter test loofah value and electrical conductivity values. The results show that sodium alginate concentration of 5% when the water content of the samples of the highest rate of alkali-treated samples in the 6% saturated aqueous. With the concentration of alkali treatment to enhance loofah soilless culture samples moisture will improve.
