The memory of Yami ancestral migration is a discourse paradigm. In the analysis of topogenic signs, the lehleh memory signifies the hidden pasts of between-group negotiation in Lanyu. Place remembering becomes a signifcatory process to transform past events into landscape monuments, which invite manipulating lag and ngilin in order to shape cosmic fate, as well as collectively divining interpretation on body and landscape. The mimicry of such a fate-integrating model can further apply to house founders and different renaming processes.
