In the present study, a method integrating the parametric solid modeling and finite element analysis was used to investigate the three dimensional vibrations of cantilevered twisted parallelepipeds. Inventor CAD software was utilized for modeling the parametric solid of the twisted parallelepiped, which then was imported into MSC.FEA finite element software and used for finite element modeling and modal analysis. Such an analytical technique will facilitate researchers an effective and efficient tool to evaluate the influence of geometric parameters and twist angle on the natural frequencies and vibration modes of twisted blades from the three dimensional approach.
