摘要: | One of the most urgent and greatest challenges of the contract pharmacies of the Bureau of National Health Insurance is to implement the separation of pharmacy and medical practices. It is difficult for contract pharmacies to select and prepare the appropriate medications from the 26,936 pharmaceutical items used by the Bureau of National Health Insurance. To begin addressing the pharmaceutical usage in Taiwan clinics and district hospitals, a proper accounting of the oral solution, inhalers and external usage of pharmaceutical products at clinics and district hospitals, using the generic name of the medication as the standard basis of calculating, was performed. The results showed that clinics and district hospitals used a total of 4,572 medications, based on a total of 1,901 generic medications. We totally collected 212 oral solution, inhalers, and external preparations. This report presented 113 highly consumed oral solution, inhalers, and external pharmaceutical products that were ranked based on their usage. The three most widely used oral solution are glyceryl guaiacol (20 mg/ml), acetaminophen (24 mg/ml), and kaolin-pectin. The most widely used ophthalmic solution and ophthalmic ointment are timolol (0.25 %), timolol (0.5 %) and gentamicin (0.3 %). And the three most widely used external ointments are urea (10 %), econazole (1 %), and estradiol (0.06 %). |
