This paper is dealing with the coal's reservation, production and transportation in mainland China during the last 40 years (1951-91).Up to 1991, total reservation of the coal fields throughout the country which investigated are: 889400×10^6 tons, total production of the coal in China at same year are: 108×10^6 tons.
Shansi province is still a leading coal production region, and the Southern China is still coal deficient area, Based on this situation, it appears two problems as follows:
1) Five east-bond railroads from Shansi have very heavy load throughout the year to the seaports of Northern China.
2) Five sea ports such as: Chinhuangdao, Tianjin New Port, Chingdao, Shijiugang, Lianyungang are also keep busy in order to transport the huge amount of coal from North China to South China and to go abroad.
