    Abstract: 野柳風景區位於基隆市西北方約15公里處，是北台灣著名的遊覽勝地。本區的海岸岩石形態奇特，殊稱勝景。由於當地海岸延伸方向與地層及構造線方向近於垂直，外加波浪侵蝕、岩石風化、及地殼運動等地質作用的影響，乃產生此等罕見的岩石形態。在地質景觀、觀光遊覽、地學研究 及教育上均具價值。
