The geographic journals have been published since the 1960's in Taiwan. From these journals the cartographic articles (including traditional map, air photography and remote sensing, computer mapping as well as geographic information system) not only revealed the developing direction of different key points in each university, but also showed the cartographic developing trend from the 1960's-79. Because of the advancing world's communication and computer technology, since the 1980's, Taiwan has improved the glow step progress of developing their cartography and is now able to keep pace with the world trend.
