摘要:	「歳時記」は俳句愛好者、入門者の必携書といってよかろう。正岡子規が俳句革新をめざしたのは明治20年代後半からであり、明治30年代に入ると、俳句革新運動の影響を受けて、多数の俳句歳時記が出版された。その中で、明治43年6月に「台湾」の名を冠する一つの歳時記、『臺灣歳時記』が東京の政教社より刊行された。その著者は当時台湾在住の小林李坪という俳人であり、明治末の俳句界をリードしていた河東碧梧桐が同書の序文を執筆している。『臺灣歳時記』は、一人の日本人によって編まれたという点においても重要な意味を持つものとなるが、同書の独自性は、何よりも日本と異なる台湾の風土に立脚した、その季題解説文の内容にある。本稿ではまず著者の小林李坪について簡略に紹介し、『臺灣歳時記』の編纂にいたる経緯を明らかにすると同時に、『臺灣歳時記』の内容の分析を通して、同書の文学性および俳句歳時記としての位置付けを考察したものである。 It might be said that compendium of season words is a must-have book for haiku lovers and novices. ”Taiwan Saijiki” was one of compendiums of season words with the name of Taiwan. It was published by the Seikyousya (press). The author was Rihei Kobayashi, one of the haiku poets living in Taiwan at that time. The preface was written by Hekigodo Kawahigashi who led the haiku circle during the last years of Meiji. It is meaningful that ”Taiwan Saijiki” was written by one Japanese. This book represented its originality by focusing on the season words for Taiwan's climate different from Japan's.This research includes the brief introduction to Rihei Kobayashi and the clarification of the process of the edition of ”Taiwan Saijiki”. Furthermore, Taiwan Saijiki's literariness and historical significance is also investigated by analyzing its content.
