Nowadays, the environmental pollution is an extremely important event in each industry. And, the synthesis of dyes is one of the most important pollution sources in chemistry or textile industry. In addition, more and more new functional materials are made. Hence it is more and more important to use the natural dyes instead of the synthesized dyes, and that would become a trend in the future. In this study, the raw and dried (by sunlight and oven respectively) leaves of aloe are employed as the specimens. And the UV absorption spectra of these specimens are investigated. The results show that there exist specific and important UV absorption wavelengths for those phthalocyanine derivatives, normally as useful pigments, and the other special substance. Further studies are needed to verify this finding.
