Abstract:	The essential qualities of human economic activity are production and consumption, and the purpose is to upgrade the benefits of mankind. The causes of environmental problems are the waste of resources and unreasonable usage, which made the resources be the waste materials. This context is to try to define the meaning among environment, environmental system and human economical activities to explain the mutual relationship between mankind and environment and the nature on the environmental problems; furthermore, exploring the research field, content, basic concept and theory frame and the current situation on the development in Taiwan and its research trend from the aforementioned viewpoints.
