Abstract:	本文利用相關的文獻，試圖討論國家機制如何影響苗栗山區的人口移動狀況，首先來看政府如何利用武力征討，來推進管轄區域的範圍，正式建立民政體制，進而吸引漢人入內遷移，完成行政空間的擴張。 In this thesis, the papers are used to discuss how to expand the population migration by state at Miaoli area. First, it establishes an administration organ by the armed force, pushing the region to govern. It attracts the Han-people to immigrate, and to finish the expansion of an administrative space, finally.
