    Abstract: 太炎先生《國故論衡》引《老子》語者凡十一章，而引〈解老〉、〈喻老〉及於《老子》語者三章，所引共十四章，唯引文之《老子》原義與先生之所述義，並不相契，蓋舉燭之誼雖善，然非本義也。又所據本非善本，誤以通行本《老子》為《王弼注本》，故訛誤不免也。韓非所重在刑、名、法、術，而老子尚德、質樸，兩者大相逕庭。然先生以〈解老〉、〈喻老〉為說《老子》者之大傳，是以「黃老之術」為「老子之道」也，今就引文歧異者，舉《老子》語全章文字辨析之，以為考證，此則拙作之大要也。
