Art and music belonged to the scope of the eighth art are people used to express and share spiritual perception and situation. The music and art come from life and lead the life of a variety of entertainment; music and art both seemingly are irrelevant, but they are inspired and affected by each other. Because of this, at all times, everyone always put music elements as the creative performance practices of art. So the picture of paintings likes to depict singers’ and performers’ passion of performance, and observers’ and bystanders’ listening atmosphere. As for musical instruments, music notes and symbolic symbols are even willfully used by the creators; the music seems to be the best performance theme of fine art, and with the change of the times and the evolution of painting school, showing a diversity of style, and endless brilliant creation. The author through Orphism and western classical paintings as examples, explores the combination of music and painting, and carries out the extension and appreciation; in addition to the paintings with rich musical elements as the objects to discuss, also in the analysis and appreciation of paintings, deeply observes how art and music reflect social, historical, and life changes, and psychological situations portrayed.
