台灣由日據時代起引入日本品牌之背負式汽油引擎於台灣農具市場至今,其產業逐步由各原廠及台灣代理商等主導而形成目前兩家領導廠商寡佔市場。本研究以台灣背負式汽油引擎產業為研究對象,結合實務個案資料與業界專家訪談探討三菱(Mitsubishi)與本田(Honda)等前二家寡佔市場代理商產品競爭之賽局模式,利用動態賽局理論(game theory)分析四種類型之台灣背負式汽油引擎市場競爭之賽局模式,以供產業經營決策參考。
Technological and ecological innovations are one of the most critical driving forces for better products and services in engine industries. However, commercialization of innovations and a proper pricing strategies for the innovative products is needed to pursue the market value as well as the premium profits. With a real world case study, this paper systematically analyzes the strategic roles of product innovations and the price competition in an oligopolistic industrial engine market. Game Theory were adopted to propose four analytic competition models for evaluating firms’ competitive pricing behaviors in oligopolistic industrial engine market. Strategic pricing decisions for product innovations and market competition would be enhanced with the analytic framework.
