隨著「機能性紡織品服飾」的倍受重視，人們從事休閒活動的時間增加，市場上愈來愈多具有機能性的高附加價值服飾品，促使機能性紡織品的市場有日漸增加的趨勢。機能性紡織品的機能性與舒適性的改良促使傳統產業找到新契機，新機能具備舒適性與製工技術的服飾是台灣紡織產業升級與增加附加價值的途徑。現今的客戶很要求顏色的準確性，一般染色後的織物加上潑水加工對於顏色的影響都是現場人員的一大困擾，目前所行的方法都是依據各個配色人員及染整廠日久累積的經驗與直覺，並且反覆不斷的試行錯誤已先求出在視感上與樣布等色的染料配方，而後藉著實驗室與現場相互間染色條件之差別的關係因素予以修正。本研究即以染色後之不同聚酯織物為樣布，探討潑水加工對其色外觀之影響，以期有助於實務染程配方修正之參考。實驗結果顯示經過潑水加工處理之染色織物色外觀發現在黃色與紅色染料而言明度有明顯下降之現象，而對於所有染料而言彩度方面均有提高變艷之趨勢。織物色外觀之改變與染料的特性有很大的關係。
With the rapid development of functional textiles, it increases people’s leisure activity of the world. More and more functional and high extra-value apparels popped on the market. Functional Fiber’s reform are a opportunity of conventional industries. The new system functions with the comfort and technology of clothing in Taiwan textile industry upgrade and increase raise its extra value. Nowadays, customers are really request for color. In general, process dyeing followed by water-repelling treatment would result in color change of the dyed fabric, and it has been a scence personnel's big puzzle, and currently all they do are based on the experience and intuition of the dyeing staffs, And constantly repeating try and error, checking and correcting to find out the visual sense matching with one kind of cloth and other colored dyes formula, to see the difference in dyeing conditions between laboratory and mill, and to further revise them. In this research, various dyed polyester fabrics were used to investigate the effect of water-repelling treatment on the color appearance of those ones, and as a basic reference for correcting the practical dyeing-process. The experimental results indicate that the appearance of dyed fabrics is significantly influenced by the water-repelling treatment, i.e. the lightness is obviously decreased, expecially for the yellow and red dyes on polyester fabrics while the chroma generally increased for all the dyes employed in this study. Finally, there exists a high relativity between the chang in color appearance on polyester fabrics and propertues of dyes.
