| 摘要: | 台灣由於地小人稠本身內需不足的特徵，加上天然資源的缺乏，自然形成了小型的開放經濟體，再者台幣升值、薪資上漲、地價遽增等因素，使得國際化之經營投資策略與企業的競爭力及生存息息相關，也是台灣經濟成長的最適途徑。台灣一向有｢電腦王國｣之美譽，但在資訊硬體產值近年來隨著前球資訊硬體市場的飽和而日趨減緩，而且需要大規模天然資源投入的硬體工廠並不符合台灣長期發展的需求。不過台灣擁有雄厚的資金，及高度技術的專業人員，適合發展耗用資源少、環境汙染程度低級強調知識技術密集及資金的資訊業，而亞洲市場的開發新亦是台資企業投資的第一步，因此對於投資亞洲各區位選擇的決定因素，成為各企業投資前所需面對的重要議題。本研究採用Ghemawat (2001) 提出之CAGE距離模型為基礎，並分別針對文化(Cultural)、行政(Administrative)、地理(Geographic)及經濟(Economic)四個構面，從資訊業的角度，探討亞洲區間投資環境的差異區位選擇之間的關係，藉以瞭解對亞洲區投資額與投資區位選擇之決定性因素。
本文主要的研究預期，可了解企業在對亞洲的投資區位選擇上，地理距離顯著性並不高，地方政府行政效率確實對吸引外資的成效有相當重要且正向的影響。
