    Abstract: 作曲家及指揮家彭修文,一生奉獻於民族音樂上,前後40餘年來先後創作、改編了400多首作品,所使用的創作元素及風格,至今都是深受喜好的。彭修文的犧牲奉獻及對藝術的堅持,都是值得我們效法與學習。
    《亂雲飛》與幻想曲《秦.兵馬俑》分別為作曲家彭修文於1974年與1984年所創作與改編,至今在各大音樂會中仍是展演率相當高的作品。幻想曲《秦.兵馬俑》一曲中,作曲家利用音樂來說故事並活化了兵馬俑,讓它賦予生命,聆聽時,不只是音樂上的傳達,也讓聽眾體會到臨場的感受。《亂雲飛》一曲是作曲家彭修文的改編作品,作曲家以現代京劇《杜鵑山》中第五段主角柯湘的同名唱段為藍本,改編了民族管絃樂合奏版本,利用許多樂器的特性,將原有的唱詞移植到不同樂器上演奏,曲中除了保有戲劇唱詞的原貌,更帶給聽眾不同的感受。
    本論文以指揮的觀點出發,透過資料的蒐集,了解到作曲家的生平及背景,進而更能了解到作曲家的創作理念,再來經由樂曲分析,清楚明白樂曲中所使用的調性、節奏、和聲、樂句及表情記號,最後再以指揮的角度,對於樂曲中之特點加以論述,並透過樂團演奏,更能把作曲家內心的聲音完美呈現。
    As a composer and conductor, Peng Xiuwen has dedicated his life to ethnic music. He has composed and rearranged over 400 pieces, and the creative elements and styles adopted by him have been deeply favored until now. Peng’s dedication to and persistent effort for art are worthy of our emulation.
    Fantasia on Terracotta Warriors and Swirling Cloud were composed and rearranged by Peng Xiuwen in 1984 and 1974, respectively. The two pieces are still frequently performed in numerous major concerts until now. In Fantasia on Terracotta Warriors, the composer tells a story and brings life to the terracotta warriors through music. This piece not only conveys music but also provides listeners with the feelings of experiencing the depicted scenes. Swirling Cloud was rearranged for ethnic music orchestras by Peng based on the eponymous aria sung by the protagonist Ke Xiang in the fifth section of the revolutionary modern Beijing opera Azalea Mountain. In the piece, the composer utilized the features of various musical instruments and assigned different instruments to play the original lyrics. Therefore, Azalea Mountain not only retains the original charm of aria lyrics but also creates different sensations in listeners.
    Departing from the perspective of a conductor, this thesis aims to investigate the biography and background of the composer through data collection to further understand the composer’s creative concepts. Subsequently, the modes, rhythms, harmonies, phrases, and expression marks in the pieces are thoroughly examined through musical analysis. Finally, this thesis elaborates on the features of the pieces from the perspective of a conductor in the hope that the inner voice of the composer would be more perfectly presented by orchestras.
