外語教材的內容與教學進程設計是否符合外語“學得"規律至關重要。外語學習主要是技能訓練。外語“學得"的技能性原則要求教材的實用性;外語“學得"的漸進性原則要求教材的可自學性與可操作性;與此同時大學外語教材的編撰不能不注意與中學外語教材的銜接與跨度。這些原則直接反映在語料的選取和各類練習的編制以及教學程式的設計上。而科學整合一部好的外語教材仍是我們目前急需解決的重要任務。

The principle of foreign language ”skills training” requires the practicality of teaching materials; the language ”learning-progressively” principle requires the possibility of independent self-study and operability of the materials. At the same time, when compiling college foreign language teaching materials, special attention must be paid to the interface and span of the language teaching materials with those for High school. These principles are directly reflected in the selection of the corpus and the preparation of various types of the exercises and the design of a teaching program. The scientific integration of good foreign language teaching materials is still an urgent task needed to be resolved.
