當一個宗教發展到一定的程度,即會因應信徒們的需求而產生專屬於這些宗教的節慶。舉凡節慶時該做、不該做何事、該說什麼樣的話、該吃什麼樣的食物、該有什麼樣的服飾裝扮,都被明確地規定著。這些該與不該的行為除了豐富節慶的內容之外,最主要的原因無非是為了加深人們對該宗教的信仰,而這種種繁複多樣的「要求」在經過代代流傳沿襲之後,成為生活中不可或缺的一部份。身為虔誠宗教信仰者的果戈理即以斯拉夫兩個傳統節慶為主軸,分別創作出極富民間色彩並帶有濃厚宗教性意味的篇章-『伊凡庫帕拉節的前夕』及『聖誕節前夜』。故事中決定性的情節都圍繞著這兩個節日來發展,而節日所蘊含的超自然力量更是影響了文中各個角色的行為舉止。不具備「具體表象」的節日卻擁有最強大的影響力,這樣的表述為節慶留下了令人深刻的印象。本文將就果戈理在『伊凡庫帕拉節的前夕』及『聖誕節前夜』中對此兩節日所描述的情節為主軸論述,分析該節慶在斯拉夫文化中所代表的意涵及其特色,一窺斯拉夫民族的宗教信仰。
This article will focus on two main stories in Gogol's novel ”Village evenings near Dikanka”; they are ”St. John's Eve” and ”Christmas Eve”, which are also the very popular Slavic traditional and religious festivals.All the decisive plots in these stories are developed around these two holidays, the supernatural strength, which contains in the holidays, has affected each role's behavior manner in the article. We're going to analyze these festivals' representation and the characteristic, which contains in the Slav culture, as well as the religious belief in Slav nationality.
