    摘要: 契訶夫晚期作品《主教》，故事是發生在復活節前夕，一個對俄羅斯人來說，非常重要的東正教節日－神聖的復活節。這個故事充滿了基督教神聖的信仰，神聖的祈禱懺悔，淨化心靈和啟迪靈魂。說明大自然在復活節期間充滿了活力，並且反映了基督教最重要的象徵，如太陽、月亮、天空、星星、水、樹木。所有這些都有助於更深入、更生動地體會作品中人物的描寫。
    Spiritual character of Chekhov's stories is evident. His story ”Bishop” is marked by obvious Christian symbolism. This story is full of Christian light of belief, holy pray of confession, purgation and soul enlightenment. Descriptions of Nature there are presented as frame structures that carry actual information about symbols of Christianity, the author's concept and the true plot of his stories. Fragments of Nature descriptions add liveliness and reflect most important symbols of Christianity-the Sun, the Moon, the Heaven, Stars, Water, the Tree, and the like.
