摘要:	蒲松齡融文白之長、兼雅俗之趣，寫成《聊齋志異》，其中〈辛十四娘〉，兼具「情節婉曲、視角遞轉」，「形神兼備、聲口畢肖」，「細節鑲嵌、寄寓弦外」等藝術技法，實乃該書代表作之一，足堪傲視古今短篇小說界。 Merging the merits of classical Chinese and vernacular, uniting the interests of grace and popularization, Pu Song Ling indited ”Liaozhai Zhiyi” (”Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio”). ”The 14th Daughter of Hsin Family” (”Xin shi si niang”) is one of the greatest stories in the book. By utilizing the artistic skills such as twisting plot, varying view of narration, grabbing the shape and verve, vividly depicting the tones and characteristics of the characters, distributing the details properly, and planting the implicative language skillfully, Pu Song Ling made ”The 14th Daughter of Hsin Family” to be the representative work of ”Liaozhai Zhiyi”. The achievement of this story looks sideways at the all works in the field of short story of all time.
