本文擬對翁方綱的書學思維作一了解。歷來對翁氏書學之論述，多不脫離以南碑、北帖的思維來論述，然而經由與提出「南北書派論」的阮元相關書論作一比較，筆者卻發現在對碑帖的態度上，翁方綱與阮元二人有著顯著的不同。本文即擬由二人書法理論的比較，來探討翁氏書學思維的特色，及其要旨，並釐清翁、阮二氏書論思維的異同。
The calligraphy theories of Weng Fang-Gang and Ruan Yuan are different, especially in the viewpoint of the ”Bei” and ”Tie”. This paper is the comparison of the two calligraphy theories to clarify the similarities and differences between the two, and thus to explore the essence of them, and Weng's ”the Pedigree of Calligraphy” of thinking.
