    摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of physical and mental health on male collegiate students at the different levels of active life. The questionnaires were given to the male students from both public and private universities in the Taipei area. A total of 575 effective questionnaires were collected by means of purposive sampling. The ”Physical and Mental Healthy Scale ” and the ”International Physical Activity Questionnaire ” were applied as data collection tools and the percentage, frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's method were used to explain the collected data. The results indicated that there were 217 (37.74%)counts in the group of low active life, 152 (26.43%) in the group of moderate active life, 206 (35.83%) in the group of high active life. There was a significant difference among different levels of active ilfe on subjecs' physical and mental health status (F=3.39,P=.05). Subjects' physical and mental health status on the group of low active life was worse than the group of high active life. The conclusion of this study was that the active life should improve individual physical and mental health.
