溯自麻醉藥品之問世，外科醫學得到無比的推力向前邁進，成爲最精緻，最有效的醫學支系之一，每年經外科手術救活的病人按全世界人口而言真是一件今世的大福祉。
病人的手術進行中最易受到細菌，病原之感染及各種傷害，稍一不慎都會導致嚴重的後果。因此手術部門的按排要求絕對符合外科手術的程序，清潔度且於維護保養而達成最高效率、醫學進步神速，凡有志於醫院建築的建築師身逢其盛，實面臨莫大之挑戰。
拙文根據最近醫院建築的新發展內容包括下面子題：
1.手術部門之通盤規劃
2.部門內各房室空間之功能及相互關係
3.各房室地面，牆壁、天花板面之材料上要求及建議
4.水電、醫療氣體之安排及要求包括防靜電爆炸及漏電防制

Since the discovery of Various Kinds of Anesthesia Surgery has been developed into the most sophisticated and effective operation to save hundreds of thousands lifes all over the world, otherwise incurable by medical treatments.
The patients undergo surgical operations are extremely liable to be contaminated by germs and bacterium suspended in the air or carried by surgical personnels which would jeopordize the very successfulness of the operations. Consequently, it is mandatory, that a downright orderly, clean, snsitive, easily to maintain, streamlined to the rigorous proceeding of the Surgical demanding environment will be provided for by Architectural designs. Medical Science advance in swift and lively manner which Challege the knowledgeable architects It is for this situation that I write this paper.
