    摘要: This paper was designed to provide sports organization with human resource management concepts to commence an operative way of managing sport events volunteers. Thus, the main focus of the study was the efficacy of volunteer management practices through human resource management approach in sport event volunteers’ commitment and satisfaction. The researcher used a Volunteer Management Inventory (VMI) by Cuskelly et al. (2006) to examine management practices; an Organizational Commitment Questionnaire by Chen (2010) and facets of Job Satisfaction among Volunteers by Gidron (1983) were utilized to assess the commitment and satisfaction of volunteers. A total of 111 sport event volunteers were participated in this study. All items on survey questionnaires were made of 5 Likert scale. Data collected were analyzed through descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability check and regressions analysis in SPSS 18. The results showed that volunteers’ commitment and satisfaction had a significant correlation to volunteer management practices. Of all the seven HRM practices, planning was the only predictor of volunteer’s commitment while planning and orientation were the predictors of volunteers’ satisfaction.
