The research purpose is seeking the ideal design of digital content presentation for every learner. The capable processes and variable data of confirming the ideal result must be got. The experimental teaching materials are only made of one kind of multimedia element, printed words. Two methods of the presentation of printed words, segmenting and signaling, are finding in the process of exploring literature. Four experimental materials," segmenting "," entirety "," segmenting and signaling"," entirety and signaling" are made. The students of Chinese Culture University of Graduate School of Information Communications are chosen for the research. The relevant subject of Web Design is chosen for the teaching materials of subject, and setting the time of the experiment in classes of the same subject. Before reading teaching materials, students have to first test the participants’ the degree of prior knowledge. Then four experimental teaching materials are assigned randomly to students for reading by PC. After reading, the data of cognitive load effects, achievement of learning, and attitude were collected. The result is that different presentations of digital content of printed words can make a difference in their effort spending significantly. The entirety and signaling group spent the least effort in their reading. Maybe it relates to participants’ the degree of desire of reading and the degree of favor of content presentation.
