| 摘要: | 本文旨意在說明《九夜》劇本之創作理念及過程。其內容包含舞台劇劇本的創作動機、創作取材以及創作方法，並闡述了劇本中的主題精神與預期效果。劇本中的情節架構與事件結構，將以亞里斯多德的《詩學》為範本，再輔以其他的戲劇理論完成創作。
在創作劇本的情節與事件過程中，參考了威廉．亞契爾(William Archer,1856-1924)的《劇作法》，並將劇本分為序曲、開端、中部、結尾以及尾聲。並且參考了姚一葦(1922-1997)於《戲劇原理》對各家戲劇意志論所提出的「衝突說」與「危機說」，將本劇的結構清楚地設定為延展型戲劇。劇中人物皆為虛構，但為能夠符合劇中的情節與戲劇中的假定性，劇中角色呈現的樣貌皆為戲劇性而做設計。
劇中的人物對白及角色關係間的設定，皆建立在寫實戲劇的基礎及邏輯上，並且將生活化語法及舞台指示，融入創作當中。最後，則是回顧劇本創作的過程及創作心得，除了期望將此作搬演，更期望劇本的閱讀者能對劇本內容有些許的感受，希望以此創作理念所編寫之劇本，能同時擁有學術及娛樂的價值，使作品不流於憑藉著靈感發想而隨心所欲之作，更期盼藉此作的完成，讓大眾對於社會事件能產生更多的關懷。
