The building of an organization starts with a clear vision, especially for a non-profit organization.
This study discovered abundant history of Taiwan Christian Ser-vice ( TCS ) and its existence in today. Did the origin vision of TCS still apply now? To understand and to define a vision of an organization is tough and is a painful process. The purpose and the business strategy will not come into reality without a clear vision. Since Taiwan got rid of the American aid, and Taiwan can grow economically by itself, does the existence of TCS has any meaning fold? It is a worthy topic to explore.
The study is focus on the influence of a vision toward an organiza-tion, especially for a non-profit organization. The researcher spends a lot of time observe and participate in various TCS activities. Trust is gained through this kind of involvement. And a Vision Workshop was successfully arranged. The Glean Project and training for volunteers are what TCS is now focus on, are they in the right position toward the vision of TCS? Does the vision of current TCS aligns with the original one 60 years ago? Everyone who has interaction with TCS is eager to find the answer.
