本研究匯整目前常見之影像相關的Metadata，及數位照片管理軟體之功能，透過問卷調查法，進行使用者的需求分析，找出對於數位相機使用者而言，理想的Metadata形式，及理想的數位照片管理軟體所應具備之功能。最後在理想的Metadata部分，本研究提出四個構面：「內容描述」、「作者注記」、「專業解說」、「儲存修改」。在理想的數位照片管理軟體所應具備的功能部分，本研究提出二個構面：「影像編修管理」、「出版注釋管理」。
The price of digital camera is not too high to reach presently. A large number of digital photos are produced, and the management of digital photos becomes the difficult problem of digital camera users. So, the experts propose that using Metadata and the management software of the digit photo to help users to manage the digital photos.
Metadata initially purpose to explore network resources discovery. But the design of Metadata is already expanded gradually to different fields and aspect presently. Because the information carriers are pluralism and user's demands are diversification. But present Metadata was ordered for the special project demand by a group of experts, too complicated and unsuitable to use for general user. So we put forward simple and practical Metadata form and the necessary function of management software by standing on the user’s angle in the research. We hope our suggestion that can contribute to management of digital photo and reference to design software
This research gathers together the Metadata about image and the function of the digit photo management software. Through the investigation method of the questionnaire and the user demand analyses find out the ideal Metadata form and the ideal function of management software for digital camera users.
In the ideal Metadata part, we propose four dimensions: described the content, annotation about authors, professional annotation, store & revise. In the ideal function of digital photo management software, we propose two dimensions: the management of the editing image, the management of the publish annotation.
