Abstract:	本研究以研究者自行建立之中、英文報紙(含台灣與香港)總體經濟新聞語料庫作為分析基礎，並且以語料庫分析中的詞頻列表、共詞分析、及關鍵字分析等方法，探討經濟新聞如何建構經濟活動。本研究計畫具有兩個重要層面，第一在研究方法層面上，旨在探討語料庫分析方法如何應用在媒介文本分析之中；第二是在經濟新聞文本意義的探討，本研究以語料庫分析路徑探究經濟新聞運用的詞彙及其組成論述與經濟新聞的社會建構真實之間的關係。語料庫分析方法透過對巨量數位文本資料中詞彙意義解析，找尋文本中潛藏的文本模式、意義及不易以研究者直觀知覺獲得的語言論述模式。詞彙在文本中的意義不僅是字典羅列的表義，同時具有存在於文本的內涵義，經濟新聞語料庫中所隱藏價值觀、意識形態、經濟活動架構及區域經濟再現的差異等，均可以從詞彙及其詞彙組成的論述中獲得，同時，經濟新聞中的字彙選用也成為經濟新聞中真實社會建構的一環。而語料庫的分析方法也接合當代研究領域中逐漸受研究者關切的數位人文方法，上述的面相均使得本研究具有多重的意義與目的。 The project aims to analyze economic news via corpus methods. By using the self-constructed media economic corpora, the researcher utilizes certain critical methods of corpus method, which include frequency list, concordance analysis, and keywords comparison, to investigate how economic news social and discursively constructs economic activities. There are two folds of this project, on the one hand, the project explores the application of corpus methods in studying media text, and on the other hand, the project also investigates the construction of social reality of economic activities in media via corpus related skills. Based on viewpoints of various theorists including Raymond Williams, C wright Mills, and other linguistics scholars, the significant aspects of computer-aided corpus method are, through analysis vocabularies and prosody of language usage in media reports under the assistance of computer soft program, it ability to enable researcher to find language patterns and preference in media reports, as well as to probe how meaning is made by miscellaneous wording. The project argues that invisible values, ideologies, frameworks and discrimination of economic activities and related practitioners in media text can be made to vivid with the analysis of lexical system and key words in context (KWIC). Corpus method also connects to the concerns of digital humanity in contemporary research community of media and cultural studies, which make the project embraces multiple purposes and abundant contributions both on methods and economic news research domains.
