| 摘要: | This study extends existing research by applying a novelty-seeking scale in a new locational and substantive context. It examines motivations of tourists visiting aboriginal cultural villages through administration and analysis of a survey at two sites in Taiwan. Although most respondents were found to be novelty-seekers, they differed in many other ways. Tourists were successfully classified on the bases of differences in preferred activity and social contact dimensions of behavior. No differences were found between package and self-guided tourists, perhaps because activities are constrained by the site attributes and because almost all visiting these aboriginal sites are novelty-seekers. |
