Abstract:	植物的中文名稱包羅萬象,有以形態命名者,如三尖杉,因其枝條頂端經常有三個尖芽;有以用途命名者,如接骨木、捕魚木等;有以植物的生態特性命名者,如冷杉、忍冬等;也有以人類的情緒而命名者,如相思樹、喜樹、含笑花等.以動物名稱來稱呼植物的也相當多,例如貝殼杉、貓須菜等.
