隨著科技進步與精密技術的發達，國際化經濟的活動增加，全球化分工與競爭的態勢越趨激烈，帶來產業外移。國內模具業進入產快速反應與產品價格微利生存的時代，對中小企業模具業帶來莫大的衝擊。彼得.杜拉克認為企業為達經營目標，多數採行多角化發展策略來追求成長。就國內中小企業的特性，企業家精神更被視為一種重要的策略思考或引導行動方向。模具業本身所擁有的高度技術性，為其核心能力與資源，在結合網路關係運作透過互補或是技術交換的策略下，是否可為企業帶來契機，為本研究方向。
本研究結合問卷調查與企業訪談進行實證，對象以台灣地區模具工業同業公會名單中公司與工廠地址坐落於台中、彰化、南投等三縣市為受訪個案對象。研究結果顯示：企業家精神對多角化策略選擇有顯著正向之影響；核心資源與能力的運用與多角化策略選擇有顯著正向之影響；就網路關係，企業網路組織以穩定型網路組織為主，並與多角化策略選擇有顯著正向之影響。
As technology advances and sophisticated technology advances, international eco-nomic activity, the trend of global division of labor and competition more intense, bringing industrial relocation, domestic mold industry has entered rapid reaction capac-ity and product prices to survive the era of meager profit of SME mold industry has brought great impact. Peter Drucker that corporate business objectives to reach, most adopt diversification strategy to pursue growth. On the domestic characteristics of SMEs, entrepreneurship is viewed as an important strategic thinking or guide action. The mold industry itself have highly technical, its core capabilities and resources, combined with operational network relationships through the exchange of complementary technology strategy or whether to bring an opportunity for enterprises, the research di-rection.
In this study, empirical corporate conduct interviews to Taiwan Mold Industry As-sociation lists the address where the company with the factory located in Taichung, Chang-Hua and Nan-Tou counties of respondents three cases object. The results show that: the entrepreneurial spirit right strategic choices have a significant positive diversi-fication effect; core resources and capacity utilization and diversification strategy choices are significantly positive impact; on the network relations, corporate relations strategy to stabilize the network type Internet-based organizations.
