本研究旨在瞭解智慧型手機的依賴度對人際關係的影響，以及上班族智慧型手機使用者在家人、朋友、同事等各種關係上，其智慧型手機的使用方式與通話內容之差異性，以及與實體社群的親疏關係。本研究的結果發現：
一、智慧型手機使用者在家人、朋友及同事之關係上，智慧型手機的使用多以what’s app或line當作聯繫溝通的工具居多，而與家人的通話內容多以社會性通訊內容為主。在朋友或同事的通話內容則同時包括社會性通訊內容，以及工具性通訊內容。可凸顯出當代社會溝通管道的多元性與資訊科技的進步，已不在侷限於只以傳統電話撥打的方式進行溝通互動。
二、智慧型手機使用者在面對家人時，多會傾向以面對面之方式或是直接使用智慧型手機之通話功能來進行溝通。與同事之間則多會以面對面方式來溝通。對朋友則較會使用智慧型手機的通訊軟體來做為聯繫工具。年紀較大的長輩使用智慧型手機之比率較低，可能影響與其他社群之互動，除非是較年輕之長輩才會使用智慧型手機的社群網絡功能來作為聯繫之工具。
三、智慧型手機依賴對其人際關係之影響
（一）智慧型手機依賴程度越高，人際關係之人際溝通與社會網絡就越佳。
（二）人際互動不會因為使用網路社群而減少或放棄在現實中的人際互動，反而可透過智慧型手機之媒介平台，對人際關係產生正面影響。
（三）過度使用智慧型手機，則可能在人際關係的互動上會有負面影響。
The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of smartphones on interpersonal relationship and the intimacy in real communities as well as the variances of the way of using smartphones and the conversation contents of office workers in relation with their families, friends and colleagues, respectively. The result of this study comes to the following findings:
1. When making contacts with families, friends or colleagues, the smartphone users are most likely to use What's App or Line applications as the communication tools. While the conversations with families are mostly of social communication, conversations with friends or colleagues contain both social and tool-wise communications. This phenomenon signifies that contemporary social communication channels are diversified along with the innovative technology, and people are no longer restricted to the traditional phone dialing communication.
2. When dealing with their families, the smartphone users tend to take the face-to-face approach or use the smartphone communication straight away, while dealing with colleagues, the face-to-face approach prevails. When making contacts with friends, however, they are more likely to use the smartphone's communication software. Older people are less using smartphones, thus may be less connected to other communities, unless they are relatively younger enough to get to know how to use smartphones for connection with social communities.
3. Influence of smartphones on interpersonal relationship
3.1 The higher the reliance on smartphones, the better the interpersonal communication and social connection are.
3.2 The interpersonal interaction will not be weaken or abandoned by the use of networked communities. Quite the contrary, smartphones as the medium platform can positively affect international relationship.
3.3 Nevertheless, overuse of smartphones can bring about negative impact on the interpersonal relationship.
