Abstract: A semiconducting phase is temporarily present in doped carbon nanotube after field treatment and underlying mechanism involves chemical potential change and E-F movement by field induced charge accumulation. Metallic phase re-emerges as accumulated charges are released. (C) 2008 American Institute of Physics.
