本研究分析台灣企業之研究發展支出投入並獲得國際設計獎項後在不同董事會特性下對企業價值之影響。依據Michael Porter的競爭優勢理論,產品的品質、功能,甚至於外形皆可透過「設計」而取得市場的優勢競爭,進而提高企業的經營效能。
然而,當前設計獲獎之研究多屬工業工程的範疇,其結果皆無法顯現企業獲獎後之經濟意涵。本研究除參酌工業工程對設計獎項之研究外,更利用客觀之財務資料以進行獲獎後對企業價值的實質影響。
研究結果顯示:研究發展支出的投入或獲得國際設計獎項確實與企業價值呈正向關係,但同時投入高研發支出與獲得設計獎項反而會降低其企業價值,代表綜效效果發揮不顯著。在不同董事會特性下,董事長兼任總經理與董監投保責任險會增加企業價值,但董事會之組成(內、外部董事、董事會規模與董監具財金專業),雖其結果不顯著,但對企業價值呈反向關係。
This study analyzes the enterprises invested R&D and gained international design awards in the different board characteristics under the impact on firm value in Taiwan According to Michael Porter's competitive advantage theory, product quality, function-ality, and even outward can be performed via the Design competition and gain market advantage, and thus improve business performance.
However, the research of design award mostly be parted of industrial engineering areas, the results are not apparent enterprise economic implications after gained interna-tional design awards. So, this paper addition to deliberate industrial project on the study of design awards, but also use the financial information to study the real impact on cor-porate value after gained international design awards.
The results show that: invested R&D or gained international design awards can In-crease corporate value, so investments design can improve investor's evaluation of the enterprise, and in the different board characteristics will also affect the value.
