Objectives: This study has followed the effects of the vibration training, for the duration of 1 day, upon the development of speed. Aim: Whole-body Vibration (WBV) is a new research direction. There is a few research concerned about the WBV effects on speed in sprint running. The purpose of this study is to understand the beneficial effects of WBV in sprint running and focus on “Quick-feet” such as the steps rate in sprinting and Shuttle run. Method: Participants are volunteered to follow the explanation of study and they decided to accept all the explanation from researcher. Thirty healthy males, included non-athlete male students, were randomly divided to two groups. Fifteen of them collected from Chinese Martial Arts Department of Chinese Culture University with a mean age of 22 ± 4 years, a mean weight of 65 ± 10 kg and mean height of 175 ± 12 cm. Other fifteen collected from International student with a mean age of 26 ± 6 years, a mean weight of 70 ± 15 kg and mean height of 170 ± 10 cm. Participants attended 2 testing sessions (indoor on synthetic surface) in one day with amplitude is 2 mm and frequency is 45 Hz. They were test 1 set with stand of bending 900 and 1200 in knee with 30 seconds each stand. We used vibration machine called VS-5060M-LD made by Taiwan, non-slip surface, high-speed camera, stopwatch, wooden corn, tape measurement in the research. Results: The results gave significant in Quick-feet but significant in Shuttle run test. Conclusion: We concluded that WBV could use to enhance the human performance especially in speed but not step rate. The study gave the significant in Shuttle run but not significant in Quick-feet. For the coach and researcher can use WBVT in schedule of training section as a replacement exercises especially in start running.
