本計畫為因應動保先進國家倡議友善畜牧人道飼養之國際潮流，於我國產業逐步因應之際，協助減緩對產業之衝擊。經由集結專家學者及有興趣投入之蛋雞業者組成工作團隊，發展建立適地性之本土化友善蛋雞飼養模式，以提供我國擬轉型之蛋雞業者諮詢之服務，及推廣友善蛋雞飼養模式並加強防疫安全之管控。本計畫擬以國際間動物福祉評估指標為基礎，調整建構本土化之動物福祉評估指標並依適地性關鍵問題調整建立本土化友善蛋雞飼養模式及相關建議指導手冊，以提供後續有意投入友善蛋雞放牧飼養模式的業者相關之諮詢服務。本計畫期能提升產業自覺而加入轉型，更期待能藉以提升國人對動物福祉之關懷，以因應國際潮流之進展。
The purpose of this project is to mitigate the impact on the egg production industry in response to the global trend in animal welfare development. A working team composed of experts and the farmers will be established to develop a localized animal welfare production system and to provide consultation service to those interested in it and also to enhance their biosecurity control. This project intends to establish a localized laying hens welfare assessment program base on the existing assessment programs, and to provide instruction manual to the egg production industry adjusted according to the key issues of localization. This project is expected to enhance the conciousness of the industry in animal welfare and to join in the friendly rearing system, also to promote people to concern for animal welfare as the developing trends in the world.
