本計畫年度目標: 一、針對無性繁殖部分,進行不同條件之扦插實驗,以找出最佳之扦插處理方法。本年度預計完成6種山茶亞屬植物之扦插實驗。二、對有性繁殖部分,進行不同條件之種子萌發實驗,以找出最適之種子萌發法。依山茶果實之成熟時間,本年度預計完成4種山茶之3/5實驗進度。三、對具油用價值之5種山茶,進行田間種植,評估不同種類在不同地點之生長差異、速率與存活率。四、調查各種類之病蟲害情形,了解人工繁殖可能面臨之問題,以便事先防範。 預期效益: (1)經濟效益: 一、建立12種原生山茶屬植物之扦插與種子繁殖條件,提供各界繁殖參考。二、建立5種原生油用山茶之田間生長資料,做為未來針對茶油推廣之建議。三、建立12種原生山茶屬植物之病蟲害資料,提出防治策略,因應推廣栽植之需。四、評估12種原生山茶屬植物在園藝觀賞上之價值。五、專書出版,可以增進各界對原生山茶屬植物之了解,進一步發展更多元之經濟利用。 (2)其他政策效益或不可量化效益: 一、研究成果預計能夠做為精緻農業、水土保持、活用休耕農地、平地造林、增加碳吸存等政策所用。二、建立扦插、種子繁殖以及栽培技術,可用於稀有山茶屬植物之種原保存,以及族群復原時之用。三、市場與網路訪查,可了解目前稀有山茶屬植物之市場交易狀況,提供保育政策之研擬。四、專書出版,提供民眾對稀有物種利用之正確思維,並可藉以宣揚保育政策。
The aims of this project in this year are: 一、to find the best skill of cutting propagation for six <EM>Camellia</EM> species. 二、to find the best condition of seeding propagation for four <EM>Camellia</EM> species. 三、to evaluate the growths of five oil <EM>Camellia</EM> species based on the field cultivations. 四、to investigate the diseases and insect pests on all the <EM>Camellia</EM> species. The benefits expected of this project are: (1) economic benefits: 一、to provide the cutting and seeding propagation methods of twelve native <EM>Camellia</EM> species. 二、to provide field growth data of five oil <EM>Camellia</EM> species. 三、to provide the diseases and insect pests of twelve <EM>Camellia</EM> species. 四、to estimate the horticultural values of twelve <EM>Camellia</EM> species. 五、to publish the monograph of native <EM>Camellia</EM> plants. (2)other benefits: 一、to provide data for forestry, agriculture and conservation policies. 二、to provide the propagation skills for native <EM>Camellia</EM>, which can help the germplasm conservation and population restoration. 三、to provide market data of native <EM>Camellia</EM>, which can be used for conservation policy. 四、to publish a monograph of native <EM>Camellia</EM>, which can teach the public to use nature resource sustainably.
